she was very sweet however during birth she wrapped my umbilical cord around her hand and literally pulled it out of me like she was playing tug of war. didn’t think anything about it then but looking back at it now, that’s extremely dangerous if that would have broke off.

First few visits were always rushed. She would come in the room & ask if I was cramping then listen to my baby’s heartbeat. Visits were never more than five minutes. Attempted asking her questions before & only got yes/no answers instead of explanations. Found out I was severely anemic with a hemoglobin of two after getting a referral to an oncologist.Dr. Scoggin knew how low my iron after taking my blood at my first appointment. Was never told any side effects or what could happen to my baby by her or how low it actually was. She prescribed me iron pills that my body rejected. I contacted her via email to let her know after she told me I’d get a referral if I couldn’t take them. I was told for a week straight to try taking the medication separately, which I’ve tried doing in the past. Once the referral was finally sent over, they didn’t include my medical history making it a few more days before I could see an oncologist. My oncologist let me know that my baby could become anemic if I didn’t get iron & that my hemoglobin was at 2 when it should be quite a bit higher. When I saw Dr. Scoggin at my next appointment I asked why it took so long for me to get the proper care to which she attempted to argue with me about how low my iron was. It was a two when the office took my blood previously. She got mad & left the room without saying anything along with slamming the door. Wouldn’t recommend her, especially if you’re expecting your first child. I had to google my pregnancy symptoms to see if they were normal instead of having a caring doctor.
