Dr. Harvey, along with Dr. Jim Cantrell, founded Birmingham Hematology and Oncology Associates in 1984. Their collective vision was to establish a network of quality Medical Oncology programs in community hospitals, filling an unmet need at the time to serve cancer patients in central Alabama. That iniital vision almost 30 years ago has grown into Alabama Oncology, with its 18 physicians and 9 cancer clinics.

Dr. Harvey exemplified his character and call to duty as a Professional Doctor in a God-fearing manner when I first met him and has been the same continuously. As he and his entire team, staff are very hard workers, sincere and honest about their Blessed call to the medical field. I am so very thankful for Dr. Harvey and his team. assisted me. He and his entire team were superb. The workers at the hospital were so kind, respectful, and heart warming each time I visited.

Dr Harvey has been my oncologist since 2008 when I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I must say that my heart was heavy but when I met this great doctor I was at ease and pleased. He gave me the best care. I've been in remission until this year 2017. When I had my mammogram back in May 2017 & received a letter to come back, I knew if for some reason the cancer came back my call would be to Dr Harvey. Well it's back & he is who I called after my biopsy. I know that this too shall pass. God bless.
